*God's River of Joy*
_Psalms 46:4 (LB), Ezekiel 47:8-9 (NlV)_
_There is a river of ioy flowing through the city of our God - the sacred home of the God above all gods. ... *This water flows ... and goes down into the Arabah, where is enters the Sea. When it empties into the Sea, the water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh, so where the river flows everything will live._
In Ezekiel 47:1-12, Ezekiel referenced water flowing from the temple of God which he experienced at different levels. This water caused all other water it came into contact with to become fresh, full of life, prosperous and to flourish. l have good news for you, child of God. You are not Ezekiel seeking entry to the river flowing from God's temple. Because of Jesus, you are that temple of God from which God's river of life flows and gives joy to everything it comes into contact with.
In John 7:37-39 (LB), ...Jesus shouted to the crowds, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water shall flow from the inmost being of anyone who believes in me.‘ (He was speaking of the Holy Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him.) By the Spirit of God that is in you, you have the capacity to remain joyful and to give joy to others.
Isaiah 12:3 says, therefore with ioy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. There are great wells of God's riches and saving power inside of you and you need to remain ioyful in order to bring out these glorious riches and power. Ephesians 1:18-20 speaks about God's exceeding riches and inheritance inside us and the mighty power that raised Christ form the dead that is at work within us. Stir up your ioy right now and see God using you to give joy and life to others today.
Action Point:
Pray in the Spirit right now and stir up the joy of the Lord that remains on the inside of you. Declare God's power and promises over your life.
