*Only Thing You Must Always Remember*
_Isaiah 46:9 (AMP & NLT), Psalms 103:2-4a_

_[Earnestly] remember the former things, [which I did] of old; for i am God, and there is no one else; l am God, and there is none like Me. *Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! l am God, and there is none like me. *Bless the LORD, O my SOUL and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities Who heals all your Who redeem: your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness._
The only thing that you are permitted to consistently remember is how good, kind, loving, merciful and faithful God has been to you. Sometimes, remembering past achievements and success can cause pride to rise within us, while remembering our past mistakes and failures can place fear in us. What should we do when such thoughts flood our minds? Worship God and thank Him for His grace and faithfulness in your past success and achievements and also worship God and thank Him for His grace and mercies that overshadowed you, despite your past mistakes and failures. Doing this will fill your heart with joy, faith and humility instead of pride or tear. God gives more grace to the humble, James 4:6. Remembering and thanking God for His faithfulness and mercies attracts more of their manifestations in your life.
David reassured himself that the Lord who had delivered him from the lion and the bear would deliver him from Goliath, 1 Sam.17:37. Many times, it is easier to forget what God has done and to focus on what it seems He is yet to do. Like David did in our second text above, we must train ourselves to remember God's goodness and kindness towards us. When your mind reminds you of how 'wicked' people have treated you in the past, choose to respond like Joseph. When his brothers were afraid that he would remember and avenge their wickedness towards him, he said “... as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive, Gen.50:20.
Prayer Focus:
Worship God for His grace, faithfulness and mercies in your life and for causing all things to work together for your good.
