Keep your hope in God

Jeremiah 17:5-8 (NIV)
… "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.…; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, …. "But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green…."

When you do what is right or you do good unto people, don't do it expecting to receive a reward from men. Only God can reward you as you really deserve. Do you know that it was not Joseph's deal with Pharaoh's chief butler that made Pharaoh's chief butler remember Joseph? The Bible tells us clearly that Pharaoh's chief butler forgot about Joseph, Gen. 40:13, 14 & 23. People may forget you and fail you but God will never forget you or fail you. Do not be angry with people that don't fulfill their promises to you. Do not make them your god. Still love them and pray for them. What do you think would have become of Joseph if Pharaoh's chief butler had remembered Joseph and tried to use his own wisdom to bring Joseph out of prison before Pharaoh had his dream?

At the right time, which was two years later, God Himself made Pharaoh have a dream and He made Pharaoh's chief butler remember Joseph. God is your source and He does not fail. God may change the channel and manner that He will use to bless you but He will not change His plan and promise to bless you. Your help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and earth, so keep your hope in Him. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He that keeps you does not sleep nor slumber. The Lord will preserve you, Psa.121:2-8. Do not be anxious about anything. With thanksgiving make your requests known unto God and He will continue to fill your heart and life with His unbelievable peace, Phil.4:6-7 & Isa.26:3.

PRAYER: My hope is in you Lord. You are my source and my strength. I receive your grace to wait on you and keep doing what is right.
