Plan and Trust God wholeheartedly

Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV, LB & AMP), Proverbs 3:5-6(GNB)
A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps. *We should make plans—counting on God to direct us. *A man's mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. *Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.

Jesus taught us that it is important to sit down and draw out our plans when we want to engage in any worthwhile venture, Luke 14:28-30. Like this verse says, many people are unable to finish or carry out their desires just because they failed to sit down to plan and count the cost of all that was required of them to achieve their desires. What plans did you have for this year? How have you fared in actualizing them? You may need to keep adjusting and making new plans as you make progress but you must always continue to commit your plans to God's Hands and trust him for His wisdom and direction for the fulfillment of your plans.

Never limit yourself to just what you think you know in the physical but trust God for His divine direction. Pray over your plans and be open to the leading of the Spirit concerning them. As God directs you, your plans will turn out far better than what you had in mind. God will back up your plans with His favour. He will open doors for you and He will bring you to those doors of opportunities for your plans and desires to be achieved. I see God divinely using your plans and your desires to achieve His purpose and glorify His Name on the earth. If you let this be your utmost desire, you will surely keep receiving God's leading and direction as well as His grace and provisions. Let your utmost desire be to please God, to honour Him in all your ways and to do His will always. Trusting God requires faith. God loves and rewards our faith in Him, Heb.11:6. As our Good Shepherd, He will continue to lead us in the best paths for our lives, Isa.48:17.

PRAYER FOCUS: Pray over your plans and desires for this year. Receive God's great grace, direction and favour concerning them.
