Grow and increase from your Inside

Exodus 23:29-30 (AMP)
I will not drive them out before you in a single year, so that the land does not become desolate [due to lack of attention] and the [wild] animals of the field do not become too numerous for you. I will drive them out before you little by little, until you have increased and are strong enough to take possession of the land.

Many times we are waiting for certain manifestations of increase from God or increase on the outside, when it is actually God that is waiting for us to grow and increase from our inside, before He can bring us into the increase that He has in mind for us. Whenever we are waiting (trusting) on God, God expects that we would be renewing our strength and mounting up with wings as eagles from inside. He expects that we are becoming more like Christ because that is His utmost desire for us. He expects all these from us especially as we go through our trials and waiting periods.

James 1:2-4 (GNB) says my friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. The wilderness was a longer journey for the Israelites but it was an opportunity for them to be prepared for where God was taking them to. The Bible tells us in Exodus 13:17-18 that even though the land of the Philistines was a shorter route
to the Promised Land, God did not allow the children of Israel to pass that way so that they would not meet wars that they were not ready for, and eventually return back to Egypt. God led them through the wilderness instead. Joseph kept increasing throughout his trying period. He was developing wisdom, character and various capacities for where God was taking him to. See trials and difficulties as opportunities to grow and increase.

PRAYER: I receive your grace Lord to grow and increase from my inside as I await your manifestations on my outside.
