Keep Preaching the Truth
2Timothy 4:1-3
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Sometimes, preaching the gospel may sound foolish and unpopular but no matter how foolish or unpopular the preaching of God's Word may sound or look, it is still by the foolishness of preaching that God has chosen to save men, 1Cor.1:21. The gospel of Christ is still the power of God unto salvation, Rom.1:16. As a minister of reconciliation (2Cor.5:18) it is not your duty to change anybody, but to proclaim God's truth to them. As they receive and believe God's Word, God will change and transform them. Preaching the gospel is not just a command from Christ; it is also an act of love and a way we walk in Christ's footsteps, Matt.4:17. Preaching the gospel will not always be pleasant and interesting but we must keep on preaching it as often as possible to as many people as possible with as many means as possible.
It is by speaking the truth in love that we will grow up into Christ in all things, Eph.4:15. Showing love should not stop you from speaking the truth and speaking the truth should not stop you from showing love. Sometimes it would be discouraging and would not look immediately beneficial to preach the gospel but you must know that through your preaching, many people are going to be helped. Preaching the gospel is a divine assignment that we have been given and we must continue relying on the divine strength, inspiration and ideas from the Holy Spirit, Acts 1:8. Preach the simple Word of God. Preach Christ, 1Cor.1:23 and God's power will be manifested.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the boldness, love and wisdom of your Spirit to continue preaching your Word unto others. Use me mightily Lord.
