Dominate over the devil's voice

(Genesis 3:4-5, Luke 4:3-4)
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. *And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

The devil wants to steal your dominion and authority just like He did to Adam and Eve. He wants to deceive you out of your blessings, destiny and inheritance in God. He wants to kill, steal and destroy your relationship with God. The way He does all these is by speaking to you and telling you to do things that are against the will of God. The devil's greatest weapons are wiles (tricks). Ephesians 6:10-11 (GNB) says “finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Put on all the armor that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks.” The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Eph.6:17) and it is our perfect weapon against the devil's lies and tricks. Don't consider the devil's lies and don't try to use your human reasoning to tackle him. Declare God's Word by the Spirit over the devil's voice.

The devil will tempt you to satisfy your legitimate desires in illegitimate ways. He will try to use negative thoughts and influences from people against you. When sinners entice you, do not consent or give in to them, Prov.1:10. Don't walk in the counsel of the ungodly or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful. Delight in God's Word and keep meditating on it consistently, your life will continue to flourish and be fruitful, Psa.1:1-3. Before you can say what is written, you must know what is written. Get into the Word of God for yourself. Study, meditate and allow the Holy Spirit to teach and fill you with the wisdom of Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS: Ask God to keep filing you with the wisdom of Christ and receive God's grace to overcome the devil's lies with His Word.
