You are no longer a slave to fear

Daniel 3:16-18, 2Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered … the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. .., our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image...thou hast set up. * For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

In Psalm 34:4, David said “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” The bondages and limitations in the lives of many people is basically a result of the fear that they have, the greatest of which is the fear of death. But I am glad to tell you child of God, Hebrews 2:14-15 (NIV) declares that “since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Jesus has set you free from every fear and every bondage or limitation.

Not being afraid is a major key by which we overcome the devil and many temptations and challenges in our lives. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not allow the fear of King Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace to make them doubt God or compromise their faith. Revelation 12:11 (NLT) says “and they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die”. You are no longer a slave to fear or in bondage to anything. You are free indeed because Jesus has made you free, John 8:36. You have a new spirit in you. It is the Spirit of Christ. In the New International Version, our last text above says “... the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

FAITH DECLARATION: There is no fear or limitation in my life. Jesus has set me free! Jesus has given me His Spirit of power and boldness!
