Knowing the Almighty God As Your Loving Father

Knowing the Almighty God As Your Loving Father

TUESDAY
AUGUST. 29

John 20:17 (NIV), Philippians 4:20 (NIV), Matthew 6:9 (NIV)Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" *To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. *"This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…”

Many believers are extremely knowledgeable of how great and mighty our God is. They know how to worship and reverence Him for how glorious and awesome He is. Although this revelation is wonderful and important, not so many believers have come to the deep realization that this great, awesome, almighty and all powerful God is actually their dear and loving Father. The reason God the Father sent Jesus to live, suffer and die for you is because He wants you to be His loving and dear child. He wants to be a loving and dear Father to you, just as He is to Jesus.

In John 17:23, Jesus informed us that God the Father loves us just as He loves Christ. Believe it, child of God, and relate with God the Father that way. God relates with you as His dear child and He wants you to relate with Him as your dear and loving Father. He wants you to relate with Him as Jesus relates with Him.

There are so many glorious benefits of acknowledging God as your dear and loving Father. One of them is that it will enhance your access and relationship with Him. There is also a boldness and confidence that comes from this knowledge. As your Heavenly Father, you are a member of His household and as such, God the Father will surely take care of you. The same God that expects a father to take care of His household will surely take care of His own household, 1Tim.5:8. Jesus promised that our Heavenly Father will give us that which we ask of Him; much more than any earthly father ever could, Matt.7:9-11.

PRAYER FOCUS:
Call God your Father and receive His Fatherly love over you right now. Freely make your requests known to Him.
