The Advantage of the Holy Spirit 2

The Advantage of the Holy Spirit 2

TUESDAY
AUGUST. 15

John 16:12-14 (Living Bible)"Oh, there is so much more I want to tell you, but you can't understand it now. When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He shall praise me and bring me great honor by showing you my glory.

Your perspective of the Holy Spirit and His assignment in your life will greatly affect your ability to enjoy His advantage. In John 15:26 (Amplified Bible), Jesus said, “but when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me.”

The Holy Spirit is always witnessing for Christ inside of you. You need to consistently see the Holy Spirit comforting you by counseling you, helping you, advocating for you, strengthening you and always standing by you; not condemning you. Jesus did not come to condemn you, so the Holy Spirit cannot condemn you. Instead, He will help you experience the grace that Jesus has provided for you. See Him manifesting both Christ and the Father’s love and power to you always.

The Holy Spirit does not remind you of your past sins. On the contrary, He tells you about your glorious future in God and empowers you to walk and grow into it. In referring to the New Covenant, Hebrews 8:12 (NKJV) reminds us of God’s promise to be “merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” During the time of Peter’s temptation, Jesus prayed for his faith not to fail him and also told him about strengthening his brethren in the future, Luke 22:31-32. Receive grace from the Spirit for your future.

PRAYER:
I thank you, Father, for Your love and power that the Holy Spirit is witnessing to me to prepare me for my future in You.
