Manifesting God’s Nature of Joy

Manifesting God’s Nature of Joy

SUNDAY
AUGUST. 6

Galatians 5:22-23a (Living Bible)
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. *These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Child of God, is there any situation that could prevent God from rejoicing and being exceedingly glad? The same ability that God has to rejoice and be glad no matter the situation is also in you because you are born of God and you bear His nature. As you allow this realization to settle in your spirit and continually exercise this ability by faith, God’s nature of joy will continue to develop on the inside of you. Joy is the nature of God in us that causes us to rejoice and be glad in God in both good and trying times. It is what causes us to serve God and carry out His will wholeheartedly, no matter our circumstances. While in chains after being falsely accused and beaten, Paul and Silas could still pray and sing praises to God in prison because of the joy of the Lord that resided in them, Acts 16:22-25.

Our joy as believers is fueled by our revelation of who God is, our revelation of the love and marvelous things He has afforded to us in Christ and also by our revelation of the will and plans He has for our lives. Our joy is based on things that are eternal, 2Cor.4:18. We walk by faith and not by sight. Our eyes are fixed on our glorious realities in God and not the temporal lying vanities that we may be experiencing in the natural. Our joy is not based on whether things are working around us; rather our joy causes things to work around us because God has already caused them to work by His Spirit. God is always rejoicing over you, Zeph. 3:17. You are the joy that was set before Christ that compelled Him to endure the cross and despise the shame He was to endure, Heb.12:2. Today, God is increasing your ability to manifest His joy and spread it to others.

FAITH DECLARATION: God’s nature of joy is in me. I have the ability to rejoice and be glad at all times, no matter my circumstances.
