2 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV), Psalm 23:1-3 (Living Bible) Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. *Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.
One major factor that guarantees our victory as God’s children is that God is the one leading us. We are not leading ourselves. God has gone ahead of us and He has given us victory in every area of our lives. We are not trying to get victory as God’s children. We already have the victory in Christ. We are not trying to be anything. In Christ, we are already everything. We are complete in Him, Col.2:9-10. As we believe what God has already made us in Christ, we divinely become it. God calls things that are not as though they ‘were’ (Rom.4:17) because He has already made them so. He then comes back into time to lead us into the victory that He has already provided for us.
Isaiah 45:2-3 (NKJV) says, “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.”
As Jesus led Peter to cast His net on the right side, He will lead you into the victory that He has already provided for you in every area of your life. You are already victorious. Our fight is a good fight of faith because we have already won in Christ. We are not fighting to win; we are fighting from a position of victory. Jesus our Shepherd has won for us and by faith, we are following His leading to receive that victory.
PRAYER: I thank you, Heavenly Father, for the great victories You have already won for me in Christ. I ask, Lord, that You lead me into them.
