Never give up on any soul
Acts 9:1-5 (NIV)
.., Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters .., so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, .., he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus .., suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" … "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,"

There is no man, woman, boy or girl that is beyond the reach of God's saving touch and power. No matter how hardened, evil, dangerous, corrupt and hopeless they may look, God can still touch them and save them. Because of what Christ has done for them on the cross, they have been forgiven (Col.2:13) and reconciled to God already. Romans 5:10 shows us that it was while we were God's enemies that we were reconciled back to God by the death of His Son Jesus.
What they need now is to receive the forgiveness of their sins (Acts 26:18) that God has already made available for them and accept the reconciliation that Christ has already achieved for them. So many of them are just not aware of how much God loves them and that God is not condemning them or counting their sins instead God is reconciling them to Himself through Christ, 2Cor.5:19.
They need their eyes to be opened and be turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, Acts 26:18. The light of the gospel is the substance that God will use to achieve this in their lives, Acts 4:3-4. Just as God caused His light to shine brightly on Saul in our text above, God will cause the light of the gospel to hit them and penetrate their hearts. Do not stop praying, do not stop preaching and do not stop giving towards the salvation of sinners. God will touch them and save them by His power.
PRAYER: Pray as you are led by the Spirit for God's saving light to shine and bring His salvation upon the lives of sinners today.
