Understand the Gospel
Romans 1:16a (NKJV), Acts 20:24, Galatians 1:6
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,...*But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. *I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

-------------------------------------------------------------
Like we studied two days ago, our understanding of what the gospel is; is one of the major things that increase our boldness and passion for witnessing for Christ. The gospel is about the love of God (John 3:16) and the gospel is about Jesus and what He did on the Cross for us, 1Cor.1:17-18. The gospel is good news that sounds too good to be true. The gospel is the way through which God has chosen to save people, 1Cor.1:21. It is about the grace of God that is in Christ Jesus; because grace and truth came by Christ, John 1:17. We have redemption and the forgiveness of our sins through the blood of Christ and the riches of God's grace, Eph. 1:7, Rom.3:23-24.
Jesus by His suffering and death has dealt with the issue of sin and guilt of mankind. He also took away sickness, sorrow, poverty, failure, curses and every bondage, attack and limitation of the devil that came by the fall of man. Jesus has destroyed the power of the devil, Heb.2:14. God did not send Jesus to condemn anyone. He sent Jesus to save and reconcile all men to Himself, Rom.5:10, 2Cor.5:19 (NIV). The gospel is that by faith in Jesus we can be saved and restored into the family of God and we can be all that God wants us to be. The gospel is the power of God and it delivers God's saving power to men. When we are preaching the gospel, we are not just releasing mere words, we are declaring the power of God and as people exercise their faith in the power of God they experience the manifestation of the saving power of God in every area of their lives.
PRAYER: Ask God to open your eyes to understand more what the gospel is, and ask Him to use you to declare it unto others.
