Boldness for witnessing Christ
Acts 4:18, 21, 23-24, 29 & 31
.. they...commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.*So when they had further threatened them, they let them go…, *And being let go, they went to their own company, ..,*..they lifted up their voice to God,…*Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, *And when they had prayed, ..they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

We will as well as many believers around the world continue to face great discouragements and sometimes threats and attacks aimed at stopping us from boldly preaching the gospel and witnessing for Christ; but I thank God that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. So many believers are facing great persecution and tribulations just because of their faith in God and their decision to stand for Christ and to preach the gospel. These persecutions and tribulations usually take various forms and patterns in our world today. In 1Peter 4:12-13 the Bible says “beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
In Matthew 5:10-12 Jesus said we are blessed when we are persecuted for righteousness sake and for His name sake and great will be our reward in Heaven. As our text above shows us, in the place of prayers we have many opportunities to stir up the boldness and power of the Spirit both for us and for other believers. We must continue to pray especially in the Spirit, as God is ready to pour out His great power, boldness and divine strategies for us to keep on witnessing and advancing with the gospel of Christ. We must pray and not faint. This is our finest hour in the kingdom of God. This is the times for the greatest harvests of souls for the kingdom.
PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for a fresh impartation of the Spirit of boldness upon yourself and every believer to stand and witness for Christ.
