Grace for boldness to witness Christ
Acts 3:4-7 (NIV)
Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong.

One thing that will help you to be a bold and passionate witness for Christ is your understanding that you are an ambassador and representative of Christ, 2Cor.5:20. Jesus has sent us into the world just as the Father sent Him, John 20:21. Another thing that will help you to be bold and passionate about witnessing for Christ is your understanding of the gospel of Christ and its great power, Rom.1:16. When you understand the power of the gospel of Christ you will not be ashamed of declaring it. When you understand all that Christ has done to save and reconcile men to God you will want to tell as many people as possible about this wonderful news. You compassion for the lost and your desire to see men set free from the bondage and dominion of the devil will also make you a bold and passionate witness for Christ.
Your ability to see men as God sees them and your understanding of the terrible danger they are under and will experience if they remain without Christ will motivate you to witness to them. As you grow in your knowledge of Christ and your intimacy with Him, your boldness and passion to witness for Him will also increase. You cannot witness or testify about someone you do not know or have not experienced. You cannot give what you do not have. In our text above, Peter could say 'such as I have I give unto you', because of his personal experience with Jesus. Your consciousness and yielding to the power and operations of the Holy Spirit will also make you a bold and passionate witness for Christ, Acts 1:8.
PRAYER FOCUS: Ask God to stir up a fresh passion and boldness in you for witnessing to the lost souls.
