Your Joy Shall be Complete
John 20:19-20 (GNB)
It was late that Sunday evening, and the disciples were gathered together behind locked doors, because they were afraid of the Jewish authorities. Then Jesus came and stood among them. "Peace be with you," he said. After saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord.

The disciples were aware that Jesus was alive, but they had not yet seen Him. The one thing that remained fresh in their memory was the manner in which the Jewish leaders had taken Jesus and had Him crucified. Could these same Jewish leaders be looking for them to crucify them also? This may have been the fear that had them constrained to a room and locked in. While they were in this state, the same Jesus they had only heard was alive showed up in their midst and said unto them, “peace be still.” After saying this, He showed them His hands and His side. The Bible records that they were filled with joy.
There are things that you may have only heard that Jesus has done for you (by His suffering, death and resurrection) that you will now begin to experience the manifestation of in your life. Even though you may have heard and maybe even seen them in the lives of others, you might have remained afraid since they had not yet been made manifest in your own life. However, God is now declaring to you: “be not afraid, for your joy shall be complete.”
In John 15:11 (NIV) Jesus said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” and in John 16:24 (NIV) Jesus said, "until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” Continually fill yourself with the revelation of Christ and keep praying and making declarations based on this revelation. Use the authority of Christ and keep exercising your faith. The word of God shall be made flesh in your life and your joy shall be complete.
ACTION POINT: Mention specific things that you know Christ has done for you. Declare that you will experience their manifestation in your life.
