You Have the Name of Jesus

John 14:12-14, Acts 3:6 (GNB)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. *But Peter said to him, "I have no money at all, but I give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I order you to get up and walk!"

One of the greatest assets that you have as a believer is the name of Jesus Christ. This name refers to the authority of Jesus. It is amazing how so many believers still think that their pastor or Bishop has the right to use the name of Jesus more than they do. They believe that God will answer their pastor or Bishop more expeditiously than He will answer them when they pray or make declarations in the same name. Beloved, Jesus made it abundantly clear that 'whosoever will believe' will experience His glory and power. In our text above, Jesus also assured us that whatsoever we ask in His name, He will do it, so that through Him the Father will be glorified. There is no limit or restriction to what you can ask for or declare in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, nothing is impossible and all things are possible. In the name of Jesus, you have all of God's power at your disposal.

In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, “and these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover". Do you believe, child of God? Do you believe that whatsoever you ask for or declare in the name of Jesus will be done for you? Stop highlighting what you supposedly lack. Instead, take possession of the name of Jesus because it has been given unto you. Rest assured that as you use the name of Jesus, Jesus will manifest His power in your life so that the Father's name will be glorified in your life.

PRAYER FOCUS: Thank God for giving you the name of Jesus and make use of His name right now to activate God's glory in your life.
