Galatians 5:22-25 (Living Bible)
But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control;... Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit's power, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.
The operation of the Holy Spirit is a major avenue through which the life and the nature of God manifest and develop in our lives. The Spirit of God is in you and He wants to strengthen you and lead you to manifest the life and nature of God. Romans 8:14 says, “for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Have you yielded control of your life to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit will never force you to do anything, but if you willingly yield yourself to Him, He will take control of your life and He will manifest the grace, power and the glory of God in your life. He will manifest and glorify Christ in your life, John 16:14.
As outlined in the Amplified Bible, the Holy Spirit is prepared to be your Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby, John 14:16 (AMP). You will receive divine wisdom and strength to victoriously overcome every situation you find yourself in. In the same way the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead, as you acknowledge that you are dead to sin because of Christ and yield yourself to the Spirit of God that is in you, He will similarly quicken you and cause you to manifest the life and nature of God. You will walk in newness of life, Rom.6:4. Charge your spirit by studying God’s Word and praying and fellowshipping with God. You will become more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and as you yield more to the leading of the Holy Spirit, the life and nature of God in you (fruit of the Spirit) will continue to manifest and grow.
PRAYER FOCUS: I am yielded to your Spirit, O Lord. Strengthen me and direct me so that I can manifest more of Your life and nature.
