You are Great in God's Eyes
Psalm 87:3 (NIV), Matthew 5:14, 1Peter 2:9 (NIV)
Glorious things are said of you, O city of God: Selah *Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. *But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

--------------------------------------------------------------
When you understand how great you are in the eyes of God, you will not wait for people to make you feel great, rather, you will walk in the grace and fullness of His greatness and allow it to overflow through you to others.
You are so valuable and special to God that He was willing to sacrifice Jesus just to get you. You are as valuable to God as Jesus is to Him. That is why God loves you just as He loves Jesus, John 17:23. It is also the reason why Jesus has sent you into the world just as the Father sent Him, John 20:21. You are valuable and special to God because you have the life of Christ in you and you are a child of God just like Jesus.
Where you get your sense of worth and value matters a whole lot. When He was on the earth, Jesus Himself got His sense of worth and value straight from God, the Father. 2 Peter 1:17 says about Jesus “… he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." The first time God made this statement to Jesus in Luke 3:22, Jesus had not even begun His ministry or done any mighty works. You are valuable and special to God not because of the things you have done but because of who God has made you.
PRAYER FOCUS: Worship God and thank Him for the great value and worth He has placed upon your life in Christ.
