Kingdom Principles of Greatness 2

Matthew 4:18-19, Acts 4:13

 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. *Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The major reason why God wants to bring out the greatness that He has given you in Christ is so that your life can positively influence the lives of others for Him just like Jesus would if He were in your shoes. This is why Jesus has sent you into the world just as the Father sent Him, John 20:21. You must keep this focus in view as God continues to raise and lift you up in Him.

The essence of your shining and being the light of the world is for men to glorify your Father in Heaven, Matt.5:14&16. And the greatest way men can glorify your Father in Heaven is to desire to know and serve Him just like you do. In Daniel 12:3, the Bible says “and they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.”

Be more intimate with Jesus and desire to reflect more of His nature, character, power and glory from your life. He wants us to be like Him in all things, Eph.4:15. As you are following Jesus as His disciple, He is transforming your life and making you become and able to do things that will not be traceable to any of your natural qualifications or abilities. Like Jesus, let your utmost desire be to please God the Father and bring glory to Him. Do everything that you do with the consciousness that Jesus is coming back again and you want to hear Him say well done my good and faithful servant. Always keep eternity and God's perspective in view as God continues to lift you up.

PRAYER FOCUS: Heavenly Father, I thank you for making me more like Christ as I follow you. Use me to turn many to righteousness.
