Hallelujah! Jesus is Alive!
John 20:11-14 (GNB)
Mary stood crying outside the tomb. While she was still crying, she bent over and looked in the tomb and saw two angels there dressed in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head and the other at the feet. "Woman, why are you crying?" they asked her. She answered, "They have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they have put him!" Then she turned around and saw Jesus standing there.

Long before His death, Jesus severally told His disciples that He would suffer, die and be raised up again (Mark 8:31, Matthew 20:17-19), but they did not understand or believe what He was saying; probably because they had never seen or heard of anyone previously being resurrected from the dead. His arrest, suffering and crucifixion seemed like the end of the world to them. Nevertheless, in the midst of their confusion, frustration and hopelessness, Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene and sent her to tell His disciples that He was risen, (John 20:17). Hallelujah! Jesus is alive!
One reason why we celebrate is that the resurrection of Jesus was not ordinary. The fact of the resurrection represents so many wonderful blessings and manifestations of God's power for us. In fact, it serves as a major anchor upon which our faith is based (1Cor.15:14). Without His resurrection, our redemption would not have been complete.
In the same way God did not leave Jesus in the grave, He will not abandon you in any situation that is outside His perfect will for your life. Because He lives, you can face tomorrow. You will experience new and glorious things that you have never experienced before. Every sorrow in your life will turn to joy. As God fulfilled His word in raising Jesus from the dead, He will fulfill every word He has spoken concerning you. In this season, you will see and experience Jesus in ways that you have never seen or experienced Him before.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the resurrection of Jesus and all the wonderful blessings and power it represents for me. I rejoice thatJesus is alive and that His resurrection power is at work in my life.
