The Same Price
1Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. *Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

--------------------------------------------------------------
After Jesus told the paralyzed man that was brought in through the roof that his sins had been forgiven, the Pharisees felt he had blasphemed because they did not understand that He had the power to forgive sins. Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus asked them which they felt was easier; forgiving sins or healing the sick. The Bible says that to prove that He had power to forgive sins, Jesus healed the paralyzed man, Mark 2:1-12. The truth is that both forgiving sins and healing the sick are easy for Jesus to do.
Are there some things that are easier for you to believe God for than others? Do you know that the same price that was paid for your sins was also paid for your financial provision and healing? Do you know that the same price that was paid for headaches is the same price that was paid for cancer? God doesn't grade our challenges the same way we grade them. They are one and the same to Him and that is precisely why He paid the same price for them and took care of them all.
Our 1st text above reveals that in the same way Jesus bore our sins on His body, He also healed us. Our 2nd text above indicates that Jesus bore our grieves and sorrows, and at the same time He also took the punishment for our sins so that we can have peace and be healed in every area of our lives. Today, God wants you to know that the same price Jesus paid for your sins is the same price He paid for every other need that you would ever have in your life.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You that the same price that was paid for my sins was paid for every other need that I will ever have.
