Witness with Your Personal Testimony
2Timothy 1:12, Philippians 4:19
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. *But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

A time will come that your life will serve as a witness for the gospel because of your decision to stand in faith during difficult and trying times. In these times, it is your personal revelation and testimony about God that will cause you to stand in faith and be an effective witness for God. While men and women around you complain that there is a casting down, you will victoriously declare that there is a lifting up (Job 22:29) because you know who you have believed and you are persuaded of what God can do in your life. This is what Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did when they were faced with the trial of the fiery furnace. They boldly declared, our God whom we serve is able to save us from this fire and even if he doesn't save we will still not bow down to your graven image, Dan. 3:16-18.
The issue then becomes how much you have personalized the revelation, experience and conviction that you have about the God that you serve. In our second text above, Apostle Paul testified that “my God” shall supply all your needs. He knew what he was saying. He could personalize it because He had a personal revelation of and experience with that dimension of God. If you are willing to do this, the Holy Spirit will empower you to do it. David confidently declared that the God who delivered him from the lion and bear would also deliver him from Goliath. As such, when trained men of
war ran from Goliath, he ran towards him (1Sam.17:48) and defeated him. Sometimes, all it takes is contemplative reflection on the grace and manifestations of God in our lives. If you choose to stand for God, He will stand for you and defend His name in your life.

PRAYER FOCUS: Declare that you believe in God and that you are persuaded of His grace and power in your life. Ask for grace to be a witness, using your personal testimony.
