Continue to Give Jesus Access
Revelation 3:19-20, Isaiah 55:6
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. *Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.

God does not want us to only maintain consciousness of the things He has given us access to in Christ. He also wants us to be conscious of continually giving Jesus access to our lives. We do so by allowing Him to work in us to develop His nature and character and also work through us to minister, touch and bless the lives of others. We give Jesus access by yielding to the leading and move of His Spirit in us, exercising faith in His Word and also allowing His Word to change us. Prayer is also a major avenue through which we can give Jesus access into our lives and circumstances.
Your submission to God should not only follow times of His goodness and blessings. You should also be submissive to God when He is chastising, correcting and instilling discipline as a means of urging you to repentance, a change of your mind. Discipline and chastisement are also major tools that Jesus uses to keep us from going astray and to prepare us for what He has in store for us. It is because He loves us that He corrects and chastises us.
The Bible says that God is at work in you, making you willing and able to do His will (Phil.2:13). The Bible also says, humble yourself under God's mighty hand and He will exalt you in due time, 1Pet.5:6. Yield yourself and allow God to work on you and also work through you. A glorious feast of God's grace, joy and blessings await all those who will yield themselves to God's operations.
PRAYER FOCUS: Pray and open up your heart to Jesus right now. Pray that He works in you and through you for His glory.
