Be Anxious for Nothing 2

Be Anxious for Nothing 2

Philippians 4:6-7(NIV)Matt 6:27 (NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. *Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Author PhotoOne of the biggest weapons of the enemy against the believer is anxiety. As long as you are anxious, you will never fully experience the transcendent peace of God that is beyond human comprehension. Anxiety also serves to disarm you from being effective for God. Paul, a man who labored more than any other apostle and who went through severe trials and persecution, said by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “be anxious for nothing” irrespective of the challenge, situation, circumstance or danger staring you down.

Note that anxiety is highly destructive and is a killer. Some diseases such as hypertension, stroke, and mental disorder are associated with anxiety. Anxiety and worry will rob you of your joy, sap your energy and make a mess out of you. Collectively, they depress and aborts one's dreams. Do you realize that anxiety amounts to meditating on what the enemy has said, rather than what God has said? The devil is a liar and the father of lies, John 8:44. So, every time you get anxious and worried you are simply meditating on lies and not reality.

In our second text above, Jesus asked a question. King James Version puts it this way, Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature? Ever since you became anxious and worried over that issue and challenge, did it serve to resolve it? Listen, child of God, there is no problem without a solution and no question without an answer. Jesus is God's answer to that question and solution to that problem.
CONFESSION:  I refuse to worry or be anxious over any situation or challenge because the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want. I am a child of God and the one inside is greater than any problem that confronts me. I declare that I am an overcomer in Jesus' name.
