The Testimony of a Glorious Life
Hebrews 11:5-6, Genesis 5:23-24 (NIV)
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. *Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

------------------------------------------------------
What is the testimony of your faith and life going to be? In John 17:3, Jesus confirmed that eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. The knowledge that He was referring to here is not head knowledge but a genuine relationship and fellowship with God. In the Good News Bible, Genesis 5:24 reminds us that Enoch spent his life in fellowship with God and then he disappeared because God took him away. Enoch's testimony was that he walked with God and he pleased God. That's a glorious testimony. His life was different. He pleased God with his life. As a result of his genuine relationship with God, he knew God's will and he pursued it with all his might. His walk with God had a physical effect on his life.
Many people must have tried to mock, discourage and distract Enoch from walking with God but by faith, he remained diligent and didn't lose his focus and passion to walk with God. Similarly, you too must not lose your focus and passion to walk with God.
The greatest reward that God gives us for seeking Him is more of His life. This should be our greatest desire too. The more we have His life, the more our character will be different from the lives of those who don't know God. Apostle Paul's utmost desire was to know God, Phil.3:10. In Amos 3:3, the Bible says, “Can two walk together except they be agreed?” Trust God and align yourself with Him. Get deeper in your walk with God and continue to know and yield to Him by doing His will.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I receive Your grace today to remain focused and diligent in knowing You and doing Your will.
