Come to Yourself
Ecclesiastes 10:7, Luke 15:17-18
I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth. *And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

How are you leading your life? If you are not living the way that God wants you to live (i.e. in His will and in His ways), you have abandoned your real self and need to make a u-turn. If you do not envision yourself as Christ and live in the authority that accompanies that positioning, you are living below the level and standard of life that God has empowered you to live in. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar person. God has called you to show forth His light (virtues, character and nature), 1Pet.2:9. Royal citizens do not live their lives haphazardly. They live in a way that reflects and attracts honour to their royal family. God wants your light (His character and nature in you) to so shine before men that they see your good works and glorify Him, your Father, Matt.5:16.
When he was living recklessly, the prodigal son was dead and lost but when he came to himself, he became alive and found, Luke 15:24. Are you dead and lost spiritually or are you spiritually alive and diligently and fervently finding yourself in God's will and purpose for your life? Ephesians 5:14b-18 (GNB) says, "Wake up, sleeper, and rise from death, and Christ will shine on you." So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. Don't be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do. Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Receive grace to be the royalty God has made you.
PRAYER: I receive Your grace, Lord, to see myself as you see me (as Christ) and to live my life in Your will and ways.
