Empowered to Turn Many to Righteousness

Proverbs 11:30 (NKJV, LB, CEV), Daniel 12:3 (LB)
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. *Godly men are growing a tree that bears life-giving fruit, and all who win souls are wise. *Live right, and you will eat from the life-giving tree. And if you act wisely, others will follow. * “And those who are wise—the people of God—shall shine as brightly as the sun's brilliance, and those who turn many to righteousness will glitter like stars forever.

God has empowered you and me to be the real influencers everywhere we find ourselves. We are the light. Darkness does not influence light. Rather, light influences darkness. We are the salt of the earth and we are the light of the world. We are cities set on hills that cannot be hidden and God wants us to shine brightly, Matt.5:13-16. The Bible describes those who have been touched by Jesus as trees of righteousness and the plantings of the Lord that He may be glorified, Isa.61:3b. As trees of righteousness, our fruit (which is the fruit of the Spirit, Gal.5:22-23 & Eph.5:9) contains powerful seeds that should produce duplicative trees of righteousness around us. God touches and transforms our lives so that through us, the lives of all around us will be touched and transformed also. God wants the earth to be filled with the knowledge of His glory, Hab.2:14.

As we manifest the glory of God with our lives, many more people will be influenced to become partakers and reflectors of God's glory also. We turn many to righteousness by preaching the gospel and by living exemplary lives, just like Christ. We are the hope of our families, localities, schools, offices, businesses, organizations, government and our nation. Righteousness exalts a nation (Prov.14:34) and people rejoice when the righteous are in authority, Prov. 29:2. As more and more people are turned to righteousness, our nation will be filled with righteous leaders and will be exalted.

PRAYER FOCUS: Receive God's grace to shine more for Him and positively influence the lives of those around you for God's glory.
