Answer with Divine Authority
1Samuel 17:44-46
“And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee;…”

Often times, courage and discouragement are a reflection of the dominant voice in your heart. Many things in life will try to voice intimidation to you, but you must confidently respond to them with authority; God's authority. The King James Bible notes that Jesus 'answered' the fig tree; however, the original word used there was 'respond.' Jesus responded with words of authority to the situation that He was facing and like a double-edged sword, His words went into effect immediately.
Always speak words that are in line with God's mind and heart towards you to cast down those thoughts and imaginations that attempt to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God concerning you, 2Cor.10:4-5. To respond with authority, you must not allow any situation to intimidate you. David refused to allow Goliath to intimidate him. The Bible reminds you not to allow anyone to despise you simply because you are young. Instead, rise and be an example, 1Tim.4:12.
Don't allow anyone to despise you for any reason. Actually, you may not be able to stop people from despising you, but you can choose not to let their negative attitudes affect you. This you can do by speaking out and declaring God's mind and heart concerning you to yourself. Don't allow any negative thoughts to settle in your mind. Speaking out to yourself against every intimidation will empower you to rise up and still do what God wants you to do with authority and dignity.
PRAYER FOCUS: Declare God's mind and heart concerning you to every situation that is trying to intimidate you right now. Declare that because you know God, you are strong and will do exploits.
