Hebrews 11:11 (KJV&NIV) And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. *And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
In the condition that Sarah and Abraham found themselves in, it could not have been easy for them to keep declaring God’s faithfulness and ability to keep His promise. But they did it anyway. They did so by faith and were blessed as a result. If you do the same, you too will also be blessed for it. During times of trial, it will not be easy for you to keep declaring that God is faithful and that He will keep His promise; but if choose to do so by faith, you will experience God’s faithfulness and promises manifesting in your life.
For Abraham and Sarah, age was not on their side and Sarah’s womb had been declared barren. In every way, the odds were against them but they did not fix their eyes on the odds against them. They fixed their eyes on the God that was for them and on their side. What are you fixing your eyes on, child of God? God is for you and is on your side. Just as He freely gave you Christ, He will freely give you all things, Rom.8:31-32.
Abraham and Sarah did not allow their condition to change their declaration of God’s power and faithfulness. They allowed their faith in God’s character to change the way they responded to the challenges they were facing. Our first text above says that judging God faithful caused Sarah to receive strength to conceive. As you worship God by faith, declaring His faithfulness and His commitment to keep His promises, you will also receive every kind of strength that you desire right now.
PRAYER: I declare that You are faithful, O God. I declare that Your promises are sure and that You never fail. I declare that I will experience the power of Your faithfulness and promises in my life and family..
