Incomparable Glory

Incomparable Glory

SUNDAY
JULY. 16

Romans 8:18, 2Corinthians 4:16-17
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. *For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

The only reason why God would ever allow you go through any difficult experience is because that experience is going to produce a far greater glory in your life that far exceeds the experience itself. It was this consciousness that cause people like Apostle Paul to “glory in tribulations,” Rom. 5:3. This consciousness is what caused the early believers to rejoice that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for the name of Christ. They saw their persecutions as a privilege because they realised the type of glory it was going to produce for them. This kind of mindset will make you strong and manifest longsuffering with joyfulness, Col.1:11. The devil is always ignorant of the incomparable glory that will be revealed as a result of our trials. That is precisely why He continues to bring trials our way. However, rest assured that God will continuously use them to produce a greater incomparable glory in our lives.

1Corinthians 2:8 assures us that if the princes of this world had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. Verse 9 goes on to add that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not imagined the things that God has prepared for those that love Him. So, rejoice and count it all joy! Don’t lose your faith and don’t give up. Continue to walk in love. Keep looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. 2Corinthians 3:18 reminds us that as we keep looking at Jesus, we will be changed into His image from glory to glory by the Spirit. Keep declaring that what you are going through is working together for your good. If you don’t know what to do, pray and ask God for His wisdom. He will give it to you abundantly, James 1:2-5.

PRAYER FOCUS: Rejoice and thank God for the incomparable glory that your trials and persecutions are producing for you. Receive His strength and wisdom. Declare that your eyes are on Jesus the Way Maker.
