Isaiah 60:10, Isaiah 61:5-6
And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. *And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
Do you remember how people travelled from far and wide to meet with King Solomon and have dealings with Him, 1Kings 10:1-4? Because of Christ who is greater than Solomon (Luke 11:31) and is the wisdom of God in you (1Cor.1:30), you will shine and do exploits that will attract strangers and foreigners to you. Isaiah 60:3 says, “And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising”. In the Good News Bible, this same verse reads, “Nations will be drawn to your light, And kings to the dawning of your new day”. Isaiah 55:5 (GNB) adds, “Now you will summon foreign nations; at one time they did not know you, but now they will come running to join you! I, the LORD your God, the holy God of Israel, will make all this happen; I will give you honor and glory."
God wants us to be witnesses for Him to people and places beyond our immediate locality, tribe and race, Acts 1:8. You need to acquire the ability to relate well with strangers (Heb. 13:2) because God is going to connect you with many of them. God doesn’t want you to only relate with people who are like you. I believe that by His Spirit, He is doing a work in you right now to position you to connect and reach out to different kinds of people. God is expanding your capacity and He is about to increase your impact and influence. Do not limit God. Expect it and prepare for it. Cooperate with God. Give yourself to the necessary training and character development. Grow in wisdom and grace and do not allow anything to distract your focus. Remain humble, keep walking in God’s ways and continue to give Him the glory.
PRAYER FOCUS: Thank God for His wisdom that is in you and thank Him for the divine connections He is preparing you for.
