Worship God With Your Life

Romans 12:1 (GNB), Colossians 3:17
So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. *And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

It is very important for us to sing, clap, dance and shout in praise and worship unto our God and Father. Hebrews 13:15 says: “by him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Psalms 149:3 adds, “let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.” In Psalms 47:1, we are implored to “clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” But it is also very important for us to worship God with our entire lives. Christianity is not just a mere religion; it should be practiced as a lifestyle.

Worshipping God is not a religious activity; it is an expression of our love, appreciation and adoration for how great, awesome and loving our God and Father is. We must express this love, appreciation and adoration to our God and Father all the time. We must do so by committing ourselves to pleasing Him in all that we do. We must do every thing as an act of worship and in honour to God. This we must also extend to the way we treat people. Let people glorify your Father in Heaven for your good and excellent works, Matt.5:16.

Pleasing God in all that we do starts with our hearts, i.e., what we think of and desire. In Isaiah 29:13, God said that many of His people draw near to Him with their lips but revealed that their hearts are far from Him. Align the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart, Psa.19:14. We owe God our lives, so surrender all of your life to God. Worship Him with your lips, your body and your lifestyle.
