Preach With Your Life
Philippians 1:27 (CEV), Matthew 5:16 (GNB)
Above all else, you must live in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ. Then, whether I visit you or not, I will hear that all of you think alike. I will know that you are working together and that you are struggling side by side to get others to believe the good news. *In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.

When it comes to preaching the gospel and being a witness for Christ, the words you utter and the way you lead your life are both important and powerful. Your life is one of the signs and wonders that people need to see to be attracted to the Jesus you believe in and speak of. God wants the people around you to not only hear of your good words but to also see your good works and praise Him. He wants people to see the difference that Jesus has made in your life and to be influenced by what they see, so much so that they will desire Jesus in their own lives. God wants people to see Jesus in you.
The reason why people originally started referring to the disciples of Jesus as 'Christians' was because they behaved liked Jesus Christ, Acts 11:26. People saw amazing things in their lives that could only be traced to their association with Jesus, Acts 4:13. In John 13:35, Jesus said, “by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” The greatest way we imitate God is by manifesting His love to others, Eph.5:1-2.
1Peter 3:1-2 (GNB) says, “in the same way you wives must submit yourselves to your husbands, so that if any of them do not believe God's word, your conduct will win them over to believe. It will not be necessary for you to say a word, because they will see how pure and reverent your conduct is.” You are the Bible that many people are reading and you are the only Jesus that many people will see.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I receive Your grace to manifest the nature and life of Christ in me today. Let people see Christ in me today.
