Let your Praise and Thanksgiving Overflow

Let your Praise and Thanksgiving Overflow

TUESDAY
JULY. 4

Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV), Hebrews 13:15So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. *By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Thanking and praising God are not optional practices to be carried out periodically. They are compulsory and should be done continually and abundantly, as referenced in our texts above. We are not to wait until there is a special thanksgiving program or until we are told to give God thanks and praise in a church service or meeting before we do so. We must consider thanksgiving and praise unto God our culture and lifestyle. Let thanksgiving and praise continually well up from your heart unto God. Be like David. Take advantage of those moments when you are alone to worship, praise and give thanks to God. You can even sing praises and make melodies in your heart unto God as you go about your daily activities. Cultivate your own special attitude of praise. Compose and sing your own new songs unto God.

Remain mindful that your thanksgiving and praise unto God are seeds for increase. What you praise and thank God for will always multiply and increase in value. The presence and the will of God will be activated over those things and people. Your praise and thanksgiving also stir up the atmosphere of God’s presence and His will in all situations of your life. Your continual praise and thanksgiving unto God will cause the spirit of joy to remain upon you and by this spirit of joy, you will continually be victorious. If you are willing to let praise and thanksgiving continually overflow from your heart unto God, God is more than willing to grant you the grace to thank and praise Him continually.

PRAYER:
My dear Heavenly Father, right now I worship you and I give you thanks and praise with all my heart. I also receive the grace to give you thanks and praise continually.
