1Thessalonians 5:18, Ephesians 5:19-20
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. *Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The only way that you and I can thank God at all times and for all things like our texts above instruct is if we learn to thank God by faith and not by our feelings. If we must give God thanks and praise at all times and for all things, then doing so must expand beyond our good times. We must be ready to give God abundant thanks and praise even during our times of trial, testing and temptation.
Our praise and thanksgiving will usher us into God’s presence (Psa.100:4) where we can receive His mercy and grace to prevail over whatever situation we may be facing. We must continually seek reasons to express our gratitude to God in every situation and circumstance that we find ourselves in. By faith, we can even turn our regrets into rejoicing.
Praise and thanksgiving were major tools via which God granted His children victory so many times in the Bible. They also attract His divine power and manifestations in your life and cause you to remain victorious if you are willing to take advantage of them in your own life. Isaiah 12:3 says, “therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” Praise and thanksgiving will help you to continually stir up all the glory, power, blessings and grace that are in Christ for you. The blessings, power, glory and victory you have in Christ far exceed that which you can think or imagine. In fact, praise is a major key for you to access your glorious inheritance in Christ.
