Your Redeemer is Alive

Your Redeemer is Alive

SUNDAY
JULY. 2

Psalm 103:2-4 (NKJV), Job 19:25 (NKJV)
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. *For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth.

In our first text above, David blesses the name of God and in the process, reveals a very important dimension of God’s character: God’s ability to redeem your life from destruction. Note that David did not say that God redeemed his life from destruction. This means that God continually redeems or delivers or saves us from all kinds of evil that set out to destroy us. It was not a once and for all thing; it is a continuous experience. David knew God as an all round and all time redeemer for him. Do you realize that God sent Jesus to redeem you from sin and the devil’s bondage? He is still presently willing to redeem you from every evil situation that is out to destroy you. Just as He paid the price for you to be free from sin, He is willing to freely provide any other thing that is needed for you to experience peace and freedom in every area of your life.

Romans 8:32 says, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” After Jesus died to redeem you from sin, He did not remain in the grave. He rose to ensure that you will continue to experience the manifestation of His redemptive power in your life. Jesus is still interceding for you so that you can experience His saving and delivering power in every area of your life, Heb.7:25. Believe God and expand your knowledge of Him as your redeemer. See Him as your redeemer in every area of your life. He will redeem you because of His great love for you.

PRAYER FOCUS: Worship God and declare unto Him that He is your redeemer. Ask Him to redeem you or anyone you know that needs to be redeemed from any evil or destruction right now.
