Divine Fullness and Wholeness
Ephesians 3:18-19 (NLT), 1John 4:16 (NLT)
And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. *We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

One thing that we can never actually experience too much of is the love that God has for us. In the Good News Bible, Ephesians 2:4 says, “…God's mercy is so abundant and His love for us is so great.” Our first text above informs us that God's love is too great for us to fully understand. It is only as we continue to experience it that we will be complete and full of God's life and power. Your divine fulness and wholeness will not come from trying to get people to love you. It will come from your growing in the consciousness of how much God loves
you. Instead of looking for love from people, God wants His abundant love to fill you so much that it overflows from your life unto others.
This was one of the secrets of the early apostles, as John stated in our second text above. They knew how much God loved them and they put their trust in His love for them. Jesus Himself maintained a very strong consciousness of the love the Father had for Him. In John 17:24, Jesus said that God the Father loved Him even before the world was made and in verse 23, He assures us that God the Father loves us the same way He loves Him. Take a look at what Jesus told His disciples in John 16:32 (NIV): "But a time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. There is a divine boldness, confidence and comfort that we enjoy from our consciousness of God's love. It makes us whole and complete, even when it seems like men are not there for us.
PRAYER: Thank God for His great love for you and ask Him to fill your heart with deeper revelations of His love by His Spirit.
